LGBTQ+ AWARENESS TRAINING

Lanarkshire Pride CIC IS PROUD TO offer in person LGBTQ+ awareness training for you or your organisation.

Sessions are carried out in person at a location of your choice and can be delivered in a group or one to one.

Our LGBTQ+ Awareness course is all about shedding light on the challenges that lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer+ (LGBTQ+) individuals face. By the time you finish the course, you'll be well-equipped with knowledge about gender identity and diversity, LGBTQ+ terms, the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals under UK law.

Pride Connect AIMS TO providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for young people to connect, share experiences, and access vital resources. The aim is to create a space where LGBTQ+ youth can be themselves without fear of judgment or prejudice.

LGBTQI+ young people living in South Lanarkshire face challenges, including social isolation, discrimination, and mental health issues. According to Stonewall Scotland, 68% of LGBTQ+ youth have experienced bullying due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. In South Lanarkshire, there is a pressing need for dedicated spaces where these young people can find support and community.

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING FUNDING TO ENABLE THIS NEW SERVICE TO BE DELIVERED. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR MORE INFO.
