Making a difference

At Lanarkshire Pride, we’re passionate about creating safe, welcoming spaces where LGBTQ+ people can come together, connect, and thrive. Our Pride Connect project is at the heart of this mission — providing weekly youth and adult groups, creative workshops, and opportunities for friendship, learning, and community building.

None of this would be possible without the generosity and belief of our funders. We are deeply grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund and Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire (VASLan) for their incredible support.

Their funding ensures we can cover essential costs — from venue hire and workshop materials to staff and volunteer development — allowing us to deliver high-quality, inclusive sessions for people across South Lanarkshire. Most importantly, their support helps us keep Pride Connect accessible to everyone, free at the point of use, so that cost is never a barrier to joining in.

Thanks to this backing, we’re already seeing Pride Connect make a difference: reducing isolation, boosting confidence, and helping people find community right here in Lanarkshire.
