The Role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Freelance Workshop Leader to support our Pride Connect Adult support programme. This freelance role involves delivering weekly workshops for LGBTQI+ adults (ages 25+) across North and South Lanarkshire, as well as dealing with workshop administration, session preparation, reporting and supporting participants in a safe and inclusive environment. Successful candidates must be available for regular weekend work.
This role is subject to funding.
Key Responsibilities
– Plan and deliver a weekly workshop programme for LGBTQI+ adults (ages 25+) in both North Lanarkshire (Motherwell) and South Lanarkshire (Hamilton)
– Work with the Project Directors, ensuring robust communication, smooth project delivery and positive outcomes
– Support and liaise with guest tutors, speakers, and facilitators to ensure successful sessions
– Manage workshop administration, including maintaining registers, processing consent forms, PVGs, and other essential paperwork
– Provide guidance and signposting for participants as needed
– Build relationships with local community organisations to promote the project and increase engagement
Essential skills/ExperienceEssential: · At least 3 year’s experience facilitating community, group work or support sessions with adults · Demonstrable experience creating safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environments · Experience working with people experiencing mental health challenges, isolation, or discrimination ·
